Introducing “Monday Moguls” #MM

Today we’re trying something new! We decided to take a stroll through the great WordPress.com posts that are being written by the fantastic people on Empire Avenue.

Our criteria to appear on today’s Monday Mogul list were the following:

– Your blog is on WordPress.com.
– You showed positive change in your Share Price over the past week.
– Your blog was a journal type article of some length.

The list is automatically generated based on how much change you saw last week in your share price and then manually edited to make sure that only original content is shown. If you like any of the content, go connect with the blog author on Empire Avenue and invest in them!

We’d like to make this a regular feature and expand to more than WordPress.com blogs. If you like it, let us know by leaving a comment!

  1. It’s a good start, EAv, a way to highlight players we might be unfamiliar with. I hope you could expand it to WP.org, Blogger, and other self-hosted blogs that are generating interesting content.

One unintended effect of Missions is that I’m discovering new players I didn’t know about because of the Missions they launch. That is why I always use the Global view as the Doable and Portfolio views only shows me Missions from players whose stocks I already own. The Global view shows me Missions from players I had not even known about and I’ve go on to invest in quite a few of them.

There is quite a high attrition rate to Empire Avenue that everyone knows about. It’s easy to find lists of the high dividend stocks but much more of a challenge to find mid- to average-dividend rate stocks that are also worth investing in unless the person buys MY shares (and that’s how I find out about them). Any way to give some visibility to people that are neither newbies NOR folks on the Leaderboards is very welcome and I think will serve to encourage people to continue to play the game as engagement and interaction among players increases. Just my 2 cents. ; )
