Fixed Early expiry

It was brought to our attention yesterday that some people had issues with the More Dessert bonuses. It appears that one of the issues was improper expiry of bonuses for a small group of users. We have made the necessary changes to correct this issue and in light of the issue have made the following adjustments to minimize the impact those affected.

Anyone affected will have the bonus re-enabled along with an additional 2 uses and any expiry is increased (in most cases 7 days) to 10 days from the date of purchase. Since users and purchasers will have lost time where they may have purchased commission free we have extended the lifetime of the “Quantitative Eaves(ing)” to 72 hours up from the standard 36 it normally comes with for anyone who already owned the bonus. This should allow both investors and the owners of those bonuses to avoid missing any windows to get a good deal on a sweet investment.

  2. Niall, I had an existing “More Dessert” that still had 3-5 uses left when I logged on Wed Sep 19th. After purchasing both Pie #9 (900 shares limit) and the Quantitative Eaves upgrades/bonuses on the 19th the remainder of my More Dessert bonus/upgrade disappeared. I reported this to the EA helpdesk on the 19th and have gotten NO response other than the canned message that the trouble ticket was received. This is still not resolved.

  3. MrBill01,

I do apologize for your wait, and the reason for this post was to try and make sure users were aware that we were working on and had corrected the problem and had missed responding directly to your inquiry. Since a number of people had reported I had taken all of theses specific tickets so I could ensure that each user affected was corrected and refunded appropriately.

I am including the response I sent you through the support ticket below.

I have gone through all the transactions for the past week and your bonus actually expired normally (after the standard 7 days) 56 minutes before you purchased the Quantitative Eaves bonus and 51 minutes before you purchased the Pie #9. The early expiry only affected users who had actually used the more dessert bonus during a purchase within a short window of time, which resulted in the bonus expiring prematurely. I can see that your previous use for the More Dessert was in fact on 2012-09-15. Note however that this doesn’t affect the commission free and you still will have received the extension that was given. I hope this answers your question.

We are not interested in cheating or ripping off our users in any way and we take correcting issues like this seriously. I would like to ensure that nobody has slipped through the cracks and again I do apologize for the delay in responding to you, please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you
    Niall
